I looked at the sites in Daisies links above,

They are good, but might be a bit much for beginners.

E.bay under scrap booking has some cheap bits and pieces to add to to your photos.

look at the above scrap booking site" Transparency book,"that is a nice page using one photo.
The bits added to it can be bought already made to begin with .

You can buy a scrap book page in a bag with everything included at the shops that are great for

beginners..our K.Mart has a good selection...and they have cheap scap booking albums.

These are bigger than photo albums as the pages can be high, if you were to use shells, say for a
beach page, the pages in the album has to allow for hight.

you can add to your page if you want to with buttons and ribbon and lace any interesting textured

material or post cards and it is up to you to lay the photos the way you want ..they usually have

some words in the packs, or you can get some off the net, or old or new birthday cards

or thinking of you cards ect.

Interesting photos are the fun thing, now we ( the family) scrap book, we take the photos

differently knowing what they are for.

apart from the usual ones, Aimee at the last show day, took close ups of the camels nose and

feet..saddle and blanket..so Jess having a ride was the main photo but interesting ones

go around it or down the side, so the page has feeling.

You can take your photos and copy them and zoom in on

bits...or copy them in black and white. I will show you some we have done.

If you look for country fairs or shows, they usually have an art and craft category

and you can enter your pages there 05~

If anyone would like some help, please ask

The key to scrap booking is layering. 3 layers or more if posible.

and keeping your colours blending. Like if you are doing the beach, look for shades of blue

and yellow for the papers and what you put on the page. Choose a background page, say

blue and get a yellow one as well that you will cut to put on the bottom of the blue, or / and use as boarders around pictures. I bought a pair of sizers ($2.00)that cut a shape as they go...good for boarders.
eg.
cut a thin strip of paper on both sides, then cut into 4 and surround the pic so the edges are on top of each other..Use a glue stick...making 2 layers, put around the photo using double sided tape then say put a shell on each corner, using double sided sticky tape for craft. to make 3.

Under this you use a different shade of blue it can be paper or material,..maybe toweling in this case, that shows around the pic and frame..then it all goes onto the background page.

I use double sided glue balls as well. They give a 3 d effect. The craft double sided tape does to when you do layers.
Aimee stuck some sand along the bottom of her beach one.

You shouldn't use glue on photos, it marks them. A post card of where you have been on holiday is good to include if you don't have to many photos on the page...add things to it, like the words, or ribbon
